Help shape TRU horaizon
TRU horaizon started in January 2026 because a group from TRU’s community came together with one idea: how do we ensure our institution is prepared, safe, and values-first in how it adopts AI?
TRU is an institution that came to be in 1970, when a college was established for the people of the Interior. We hold our values close – Inclusion and Diversity, Community-Mindedness, Curiosity, Sustainability – in service of our place, our purpose, and our people in current and future generations, including tellqelmúcw – those yet to be born.
We’ve since grown to a community of 100+ active students, colleagues and faculty members, all passionate about bringing AI to TRU in a way that’s human-centered and purposeful, contributing to the Interior and beyond.
